Industrial Dryer Heat Source Analysis and Optimization

Industrial Dryer Heat Source Selection Basis
The basis for selecting the heat source of the industrial dryer should meet the following requirements:
- Product quality requirements. The heating temperature and the cleanliness of the heat source will have a great impact on the quality of the material.
- Environmental requirements. During the combustion process, some combustion heat sources will produce peculiar smell or smoke, which will pollute the environment after being discharged into the atmosphere. Such heat sources should be used with caution.
- Economical and easy to get. The selected heat source is adapted to local conditions, not only considering various costs, but also considering whether it is easy to obtain.
- Security. One point is more important for direct-fired heat sources. Some materials to be dried are flammable, explosive or easily oxidized. It is best to use indirect heat exchange heat sources for processing such materials. Special flame-retardant or explosion-proof measures are required for direct-fired heat sources.
Under the national environmental protection policy, industrial dryer manufacturer need to develop new alternative energy solutions to ensure the normal use of dryers under the premise of meeting environmental protection emissions. As a traditional energy source, coal is used as the preferred heat source for industrial dryers due to its “low price and easy access”. How to reasonably configure the heat source and fan of industrial dryer?
Under normal circumstances, in the system setting of the industrial dryer, the heat source system is generally assembled with a direct-fired hot blast stove. When the slag is dried, when the flue gas temperature is close to 800°C, it is easy to cause recrystallization of granular blast furnace slag and lose its hydraulic activity. Therefore, during the drying process of the material, the required drying temperature should be determined according to the different moisture and physical property requirements of the material, so that it is not easy to cause changes in physical properties and affect the quality of the finished product.
In the actual production process, when the flue gas temperature of the hot blast stove is too high, it can be properly mixed with cold air to adjust and cool down. A special mixing chamber cold air regulating valve can be set between the combustion chamber and the dryer to realize the adjustment and control of the temperature of the flue gas entering the dryer. The cement dryer can also use the hot exhaust gas of the kiln tail preheater and the grate cooler as the heat source, and can be used in conjunction with the dust removal equipment.
The function of the air induction system in the drying system is to quickly discharge high-humidity and low-temperature exhaust gas and improve drying efficiency. In order to prevent the water vapor contained in the exhaust gas from condensing in the system, which will cause difficulties in dust removal (sticky bag phenomenon), the temperature of the exhaust gas from the dryer should be controlled at about 120-125 °C. When the temperature of the exhaust gas is low, the natural ventilation capacity of the chimney is not enough to overcome the fluid resistance of the drying equipment and dust removal equipment, so the boiler induced fan is often used as the ventilation power of the industry dryer.
